We are extremely excited to announce that the first phase of the President Hotel’s extensive refurbishment plans has begun. The hotel has always been considered the gem of the Atlantic seaboard and with the new renovations underway, the President Hotel will undeniably be the most beautiful urban resort in Cape Town.

It will only take a few short months before the fresh and newly styled guest areas will be ready for our visitors. We want to assure all our travel partners and guests that the Presidential guest experience will not be compromised in anyway, and precautions are being made to ensure that there will be minimal disruption to any services.

The refurbishment will start with the main reception and groups arrival areas and will include a hip, new, pop up cocktail bar and a business lounge for guests and locals to enjoy. The style of the new areas will be sophisticated and contemporary with a focus on authenticity and a considered use of space, using natural elements that link to the surrounding Cape Town environment such as the mountain ranges and the Atlantic Ocean.

Vivid kinetic art will be used in the bedrooms and corridors and renowned photographer and nature conservationist, Sacha Specker has been commissioned to take exclusive images for the President Hotel’s new look. Certain floors and rooms of the hotel have already started to undergo a makeover, with new soft furnishings, artwork, lighting and seating areas.

The big reveal is due in September and will be marked with lots of exciting events, so keep an eye out for your personal invitation to the celebrations!
