Great rates at City Lodge this summer!

Posted in Members News

As more travellers start to emerge from their homes to shake off cabin fever, City Lodge Hotel Group has launched its Summer Campaign to help finances go further this festive season. After the success of its Weekend Special rates launched in August 2020, the group is now extending this rate to include all weekdays too. From 1 December 2020 to 31 January 2021, the following special rates apply per room per night (single or double occupancy): from R749 at Town Lodges, from R799 at City Lodge Hotels and from R999 at Courtyard Hotels. (Offer does not include Road Lodges.)

Chief operating officer Lindiwe Sangweni-Siddo says, “The five public holidays in December and January effectively create several opportunities for a long weekend, to see out 2020 somewhere special or ring in the New Year in new surroundings. As more travellers start to emerge from their homes, we want to welcome them to our hotels around the country for that long-awaited trip. We appreciate that budgets are tight and offer these affordable rates so that our valued guests can start planning their next trip.”

The special is bookable by selecting “A WKND Special” on direct channels only, including the website www.clhg.com, hotels by phone and email, and walk-ins, subject to availability. The rate is per room, single or double occupancy, and includes VAT and tourism levy. Breakfast may be added on as a separate charge. The offer may not be used in conjunction with any other specials or negotiated rates. Rates are net and non-commissionable.

Guests may be reassured that they will continue to stay safe at any City Lodge Hotel Group property. Comprehensive and internationally recognised COVID-19 hygiene and safety protocols are carried out across all properties, including all areas accessed by guests and staff at the front and back of house. A summary of the protocols, including what guests need to know prior to entering the hotel, is provided on the website www.clhg.com.

Lindiwe adds, “Returning guests will be wowed by various new initiatives. We have introduced contactless online check-in and replaced shared menus at our restaurants and bars with QR codes. Our food and beverage offerings have been beefed up with new dishes on the menu, innovative food presentation, draught beer on tap, a range of hearty bar snacks, and pizzas safely served in boxes. In addition, our new environmentally-friendly bathroom amenities, including the Zero hair and body bar, are being rolled out to our hotels as we continue to strip out all single-use plastics in our guest rooms as part of our sustainability journey.”
